The mighty Monobloco from Rio de Janeiro make a welcome return to Irish shores in July.

The 12 piece samba-rock outfit will play in Dublin's Sugar Club on Friday 18th July, before heading to the North West for shows in  Sligo and Mayo.

MaSamba have pulled out all the stops this year in creating a pageant inspired by the world of the Circus for the Dublin St. Patrick's Festival.

The project involved over 175 people on the street on the day, decked out in spectacular costumes custom made for MaSamba in Sao Paulo.

We were also joined by members of Monobloco (RJ) and Toque Tambor (UK) on the musical front, dancers from Caritas College and Bradog Youth Service and, of course, over 40 members of the Brasilian community, which all made for a great party!
